Wine label

This is one of the most amazing projects I have been involved in. I was asked to create the label for the white wine that is produced by the Chateaux George 7 vineyard located in Bordeaux, France.

The client and I discussed the story that she wanted behind the design of the label. The brief was very personal to the client as she asked me to consider incorporating drawings by her mother. I carefully studied her mother's artwork and worked in daisies from a particularly favourite picture.

The client is also focused on bio-diversity at her vineyard, and she has carefully selected plants for her hedgerows to encourage this. She provided me with a list of plants which I researched to ensure every detail in the label had relevance and meaning. This ensures every plant on the label can be found on her land.

I created a 'key' of the label, detailing the name of each plant (in both French and English) included within the illustration so the client could reference in the future. She was so taken with the graphic she requested a poster sized version which she has printed and displays in her tasting room.

The final label design went to print and is now on Chateau George 7 BLANC bottles which can be found online and purchased in the UK via Davy's Wine Store.

A truely unique project that I am so proud to have been a part of (thanks Sally x).

I was asked to advise on general layout, image use and guidelines re. fonts and colour palette as the client had built the website inhouse using Wix. These basic suggestions helped the client with consistency as they maintained content themselves. I also provided concepts for a new Recipes section of the site.

In Feb 2022 I was asked to provide images for the online shop. Instead of employing a photographer I was tasked with using Photoshop to create the various wine combinations she sells, along with 'badges' to show the awards and accolades the wines have won.

I have created various other printed materials for CG7 including membership cards, flyers, posters, stickers and back labels for the wine itself.
